Chances Dye a (Red) Sox are "Pretty Good"

New, comments

It looks like Jermaine Dye could be a Boston Red Sox sooner than later:

...A major league source said a short time ago that chances were "pretty good" that the Red Sox would complete a deal with the Chicago White Sox for outfielder Jermaine Dye.

In exchange for Dye, the White Sox would get Wily Mo Pena and one of either minor league pitcher Justin Masterson or Sox reliever Manny Delcarmen.

I'm not sure about getting Dye, but I certainly don't want to give up Manny Delcarmen. Manny has been a stud in the 'pen this season. If we lose him, we're just putting ourselves into a bigger hole. If our goal is to win now, then trade Justin Masterson. He's a couple of seasons away and he may bust. Atleast with Delcarmen we know he can pitch now.

Thoughts, Red Sox Nation?
