Game Story: Team-first Wakefield even Sweeps up.

The Starter:

Wake had it "goin' on" tonight. 7 IP, 4 total baserunners and 5 Ks. He really only encountered trouble once, with a bases loaded 1 out situation in the first. He struck out Frank Thomas, while Mirabelli caught a napping Troy Glaus at 1B. After that, it was all smooth sailing.

The 'Pen:

Okajima pitched a scoreless 8th, striking out two. Despite allowing two hits, J.C. Romero pitched a scoreless ninth to finish off the win.

The Lineup:

After being out of the lineup last night, Youkilis was back with a vengeance, going 3 for 5 with 2 2Bs, 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Manny and Drew had two singles apiece, Lowell had an impressive 3 run HR off of Halladay, while Papi doubled and knocked in two.

The Field:

The Mirabelli SO-pickoff DP stands out as the play of the game, and probably a huge momentum swing.

Have to give it to Wakefield. After escaping the first inning unscathed, he was fantastic the rest of the way en route to his 4th win.
