David Ortiz underwent arthroscopic surgery today on his right knee. Doctors say the surgery shouldn't effect his off-season training or spring training.
This has been a much-awaited surgery. Ortiz struggled with the knee for the majority of the year, so it's great to know he could be completely healthy in a couple weeks. Imagine if he was healthy this season? I think his numbers would have been very similar to two seasons ago if that was true. It'll be interesting to see how Ortiz feels once spring training starts. I wonder if he'll go back to his old stance.
Here, here to a healthy Big Papi!
