There are a few, and only a few, more win shares to go around after the Toronto series. See how they got distributed below the fold. It's for real this time.

Update [2006-9-28 12:38:53 by KENtastic]:
Win shares from the split with Tampa Bay are now below the fold.

I swear I write about Crisp every single series.  It's not good news in this one, as he lost a win share on Tuesday, going 0 for 4.  Lowell did the same thing on Wednesday and Thursday's homer wasn't enough to get it back.

Mirabelli got a win share in Tuesday's loss, going 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.  Over half of his value is defensive.

Between Ortiz's three homers, two walks, and five hits in six AB on Wednesday and Thursday, he picked up two win shares to tie Ramirez for the team lead.

Varitek continues to pick up value behind the plate and that, combined with Wednesday's triple, was enough to earn him another win share.

Beckett gets two win shares, along with Ortiz, on Thursday for eight shutout innings.

Corey lost one of his win shares by allowing three earned runs in an inning on Wednesday.

DiNardo did well on Tuesday, pitching 3.2 innings and allowing 0 runs.  It was enough to bring his value up to 5.64 runs worse than a replacement pitcher.

Hansen went the other way on Wednesday, by allowing 4 earned runs without getting an out.  He's at -4.34 runs.

Javier Lopez got two outs without allowing a run on Tuesday, plus he was close to the rounding mark, so he went up.

Schilling gets another win share for going 6 and allowing 1 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Wakefield lost one of his for his 3.1 IP, 6 ER line on Tuesday.

Update [2006-9-26 12:37:8 by KENtastic]:
Here are the updates from the Toronto series.

Gonzalez got a win share on Sunday for going 2 for 4 with a double.

Kapler got a hit in one AB on Saturday, and that was enough to get him a win share.

Lowell homer with runners on on Friday, along with a walk, got him a new win share.

On Friday, the win suits Murphy well, as he picked up a win share by riding the pine. He gained it from his bench partner for the day, Varitek. It wouldn't last long, as he'd lose it on Monday by going 0 for 3 to Breslow who pitched a scoreless inning.

Surprisingly few pitchers lost win shares, mostly because we were trotting out few pitchers who had any to lose. That group consisted of Burns (1 IP, 2 ER on Sat) andDelcarmen, (.1 IP, 2 ER on Sun).

Pitchers who gained win shares were Corey (1.2 IP, 0 ER on Sat), Jarvis (1 IP, 0 ER on Sun), and Tavarez, who picked up two (9 IP, 1 ER on Friday).

Update [2006-9-28 12:38:53 by KENtastic]:
Here are the updates from the Tampa Bay series.

After picking up number two on Tuesday, by going 3 for 4 with a double, including 1 for 1 w/risp, Hinske looks like he'll finish on ths positive side of things for the Sox this season.

Nixon dropped a WS on Wednesday by striking out and going 0 for 4.

Ortiz cracks 30 and the team lead as he goes 3 for 4 (1 for 1 w/risp) with a homer on Tuesday.

Beckett ends a very, very disappointing year with only six win shares, as he dropped one on Wednesday, allowing eight earned runs in 6.1 innings.

Corey also dropped one Wednesday, allowing three runs in 0 innings. Delcarmen picked it up, though, allowing no runs in 1 inning.

Schilling finishes the season strong on Tuesday, and picks up two win shares in his 7 IP, allowing only one run.
