Jon Lester was amazing yesterday. There really isn't much more to say than that. He hit his spots, he fooled the majority of the Nats, and he kept the ball in the infield for the most part.
Who does he compare to? Some say like a younger Barry Zito, except without the 12-8 curve and with more bite on the fastball.
This is an open thread considering it's an off-day today. Talk about anything and all Lester. Are we just getting our hopes up? Or is he the real deal? Does he have the chance to be a great Red Sox southpaw? Or is this another Juan Pena or -- ehh -- Paxton Crawford? Will he duplicate the success of teammate Jonathan Papelbon, or is no one Jonathan Papelbon?
