No More Red Sox on UPN

Dan Shaughnessy has an article today about Red Sox no longer broadcasting games on UPN on Friday nights.

Personally, I don't like the UPN games. The presentation and the whole atmosphere seemed to be different, and eerily wrong compared to NESN broadcasts. I'm used to the bright Sunday games where Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo wear those ugly polo shirts. UPN ain't got nothin' on that.

But Shaughnessy brings up a good point. What about those people who don't have cable, but still love the Red Sox? You'll read the Globe and Herald, sure, but nothing compares to watching the Red Sox. You could probably go to a bar and check out the game if you wanted to, but it's nice to have that once-a-week program you look forward to right after it's over.

This makes me wonder. OTM readers: will any of you be effected by losing the UPN game on Friday nights? Or do the majority of you have cable or satellite to watch the Sox?
