This is going to have to be a pretty quick update. I worked late last night and here it is, 6:30 am, and I'm about to start getting ready to head back to work all day and all night. The news and notes section is going to have to suffer a bit, but as far as I'm concerned there's only one piece of minor league news that matters today anyways. Roberto Petagine is getting his shot.

News and Notes
Roberto Petaine was not in the Pawtucket line up and that's reason for celebration. Not because he wasn't playing today, but because of the reason why he wasn't playing. Instead of being in Syracuse with the Paw Sox, he was in Boston with the big league club. John Olerud has been placed on the 15 day DL and finally, finally, FINALLY Petagine is getting his chance. I'm really excited to see what this guy can do and I hope he beats the hell out of the ball, taking the job from Millar and leaving Olerud and Millar both without a job.
Dustin Pedroia hit his first home run at the AAA level.
