Happy July everyone and Happy Canadian day to our neighbors from the north. It almost doesn't seem right that we make the Blue Jays travel down to us on a day dedicated to their country.
Tonight the Sox start a three game set against the Blue Jays and try to regain some of the momentum they had before losing 2 of 3 to the Indians. Ace of the staff, Matt Clement (9-1, 3.33) goes head to head with Ted Lilly (5-8, 6.24). On paper the scale seems tipped in favor of the good guys.
For those of you looking for a low-level minor league update, you're going to have to wait until tomorrow morning. This morning was filled up trying to drag the new puppy into the car to go see the vet and tonight is poker night with the guys from work. This will only be the second time I actually play poker so tomorrow, along with a minor league update, I imght be begging for money.
This is shaping up to be a hell of a weekend. The Sox should look good in their game tonight and we're on the verge of one of my favorite 3 days weekends of the year. Any holiday that is celebrated by eating grilled meat, drinking beer, and blowing stuff up is more than ok in my book. Throw in a series against the Blue Jays and you have yourself a deal.
