Sorry about no open thread yesterday. My internet has been going off and on for some reason yesterday, so once I got on the 'net, five seconds later it'd be down.
The good news, though, is that the Sox won last night. Matt Clement received a no decision after giving up five earned runs. Alan Embree earned the win with an impressive 1.2 innings pitched, lowering his ERA to 3.72.
Tonight, at 3:35 eastern, David Wells (2-3, 4.91 ERA) makes his return for the Red Sox against Seth Etherton (no stats). Wells is coming off the disabled list and is starting for Jeremi Gonzalez. At this point we don't know who will be demoted for Wells, but it looks like it may be Cla Meredith.
