Open Thread: 5/14/05 @ SEA

A shelling to the extreme last night. A huge 14-7 loss isn't anything good. Especially when it's the start of a West Coast Swing that usually are pretty important.

Wade Miller (3.60 ERA) makes his second start tonight against righthanded Ryan Franklin (4.50). Johnny Damon is a career .357 (5/14) hitter against Franklin, while David Ortiz has four hits off of Franklin (4/10) -- three of those being home runs.

NOTE: Matt Mantei pitched a scoreless inning last night, lowering his ERA to 2.70. I remind everyone of this because Mantei is a guy that I really like, and am pulling for this season.
