According to the Boston Herald, the Red Sox are expected to name Ben Cherington and Jed Hoyer co-general managers.
This is exciting news to me. I'm much more for this than bringing in Jim Beatie or Jim Bowden from outside the organization. Hoyer and Cherington have been working behind the scenes, so it's fitting that they are given this position.
Miguel Tejada isn't happy in Baltimore; Manny Ramirez isn't happy in Boston. A trade could possibly happen, but why would each team want to trade within their division?
No complaints here, though. Getting Tejada would be amazing, and he would give us our best shortstop since Nomar Garciaparra was in his prime. Tejada, I'm sure, would love to be teammates with David Ortiz, adding great clubhouse chemistry.

Interesting tidbit of information, but I doubt the Red Sox would trade for an injured prospect. I wouldn't be too worried about this.
