Boston Gets Swept

The Boston Red Sox end the 2005 season by getting swept by Ozzie Guillen and the Chicago White Sox. There were no heroics. There were no ninth inning home runs. Just outs.

Here's an open thread for everyone. Talk about anything. Talk about the game, talk about the season, or talk about next season. It's an open thread. Let go of all your frustrations here.

Here's a starter:
Did the Red Sox deserve to go to the playoffs? The record says so, but I think we've all known we were doomed once our pitching never solidfied.

Here's another one:
What will the pitching staff look like next season? Do we say goodbye to the likes of Keith Foulke and David Wells, and say hello to the young guns of Jonathan Papelbon, Manny Delcarmen and Craig Hansen?

And I've come up with the official Over The Monster slogan for the 2005 off-season:

Papelbon in '06.

I'll make the shirts even, if anyone wants them.
