Red Sox release "It Gets Better" video The Boston Red Sox, following in the footsteps of a few other MLB teams, have released their own "It Gets Better" video. "It Gets Better" is a project spearheaded by Dan Savage, with the aim of providing support for young LGBT people who suffer from bullying and discrimination due to their sexual orientation. Homophobia is an all-too-real problem in our society today, and public shows of support like this are instrumental in turning the cultural tide against discrimination. Huge kudos to Tito, Youk, and Tek - and the entire Red Sox organization - for taking part in this great cause. GO SOX!

MINNEAPOLIS - As the Red Sox [team stats] showered, dressed and packed for Toronto, the middle stop on their three-city road trip, emergency medical technicians attended to manager Terry Francona in the trainer’s room of the visitors clubhouse yesterday afternoon.
A member of the Red Sox training staff suggested that Francona be examined before the team left the Metrodome, especially since the manager, who has a history of medical complications, would be boarding a plane.
