Is Kansas City even part of the baseball world?
Terry Francona came through the front door with his coaching staff and about to enter the elevator that leads to the clubhouse when security piped up "Sir, you'll have to wait until the woman comes down with a press pass."
I politely told the man, "He's the manager of the Boston Red Sox, and they're the coaches."
With that, Francona and his coaches were free to go and the kingdom was saved.
I'm sure Terry Francona and all his coaches were decked out in Red Sox apparel, also. Making this case even sadder. But, then again, there have been many security guard goofs in sports history, so I guess this can be disregarded ... once the season is over.

It would be better if the security guard had a clipboard and made Francona spell his name three times, very slowly, while the pencil kept breaking.
It's April. Bring on the psy-ops!
