Trot Nixon an Indian
Trot Nixon agreed to a 1 year, $3M contract with the Cleveland Indians.
This is less than half of what Trot was making with the Sox last year ($7.5M) and I think that this is a good signing for Cleveland. I would only count on Trot playing around 100 games, but he can still hit when he's healthy.
I would imagine that we'll see a 3-way platoon with Trot, RF, Garko, 1B, and Blake rotating between both positions.

Re: Trot Nixon an Indian
There'll now be 5 guys competing for time at the 2 corner OF spots. Nixon, Blake, Choo, Delluci, and Michaels. To some degree, that's a good thing. They've all got their strengths and weaknesses, and I think Choo and Michaels could both cover CF on the rare occasions Sizemore needs time off. Realistically, take Blake out of the equation (my guess is that one of Marte or Garko won't hit ML pitching for part of the season next year, and he'll be seeing a lot of time at 1B or 3B) and you've got three LHH and one RHH. They're going to get production from their corners, for low prices, but I'm not sure these guys will be happy with the arrangement. Also, this is all hoping that Wedge plays the hot hand, and we'll see if that ends up being the case.
One of the other things I though of, with Trot's good eye (which seems to have gotten better with age) is that they can start, on a trial basis, letting Sizemore bat in RBI spots. Sure, he's got speed and pretty good OBP last season (.375), but with his versatility and surprising power at the plate, he could be a run producer as well. I know the Tigers are potentially looking at Granderson as a #3 someday, and he's like Sizemore-lite at the plate.

That said, Trot has intangibles, as all you know, and his work ethic, attitude, etc., will certainly be a benefit to their younger players.
Re: Trot Nixon an Indian
What on earth were the Indians thinking extending Michaels' contract? He's definitely the worst player of the five.
