Mariners P Silva goes on DL

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - The Seattle Mariners placed pitcher Carlos Silva on the 15-day disabled list Saturday with triceps tendinitis in his right elbow.
The move was made following the Mariners' 7-6 loss to the Twins at the Metrodome.
Silva has struggled mightily for the slumping Seattle club, going 4-14 with a 6.36 earned-run average in 25 starts this season.
To fill the roster spot, the Mariners plan to recall pitcher Ryan Feierabend from Triple-A Tacoma prior to Sunday's game, so he can start the series finale.
