The Red Sox actually scored more than two runs yesterday!
They still lost.
That's usually what happens when you're playing a good team and can't score. It's a strange phenomenon, but the Red Sox' ability to score runs seems to be inversely proportional to the recognizable of the names in their lineup. Yes those halcyon days of Herrera and Hassan and an as-of-yet-unproven Holt taking seven in a row are long gone in favor of Napoli and Nava and losses.
This is not to say that those players are to blame. Only that baseball is cruel and unusual.
