Remember when Wil Myers missed that important fly ball in Game 1 of the American League Division Series last year?
Remember, too, when Red Sox fans wouldn't let young Wil forget that he had screwed up by repeatedly chanting his name again and again for the rest of the time the series was in Boston? Myers remembers, too!
Where everybody knows your name. #Boston #Cheers

I have to hand it to him, it's a good idea to tip your cap to the opposing fans like this as you return to a city that enjoys taunting you. Plus, it'll help people separate him from the whole CONSPIRACY thing that noted dingus Keith Olbermann tried to get going last October by claiming someone in the Red Sox bullpen yelled "I GOT IT" like it was a Little League game and not the ALDS.
Myers had no part in that, explaining that he saw Rays center fielder Desmond Jennings out of the corner of his eye and the rest is history. Between that sensible explanation and his acceptance of the chant Boston has bestowed on him, I think we're allowed to like Myers. Even if he is on the Rays.
