The Red Sox introduced Pablo Sandoval at a press conference today in which their new third baseman uttered the words "The Panda is with me." So perhaps it's no surprise that it took all of about five minutes for the first photos to emerge of Sandoval wearing a Red Sox uniform in Fenway Park next to a panda:

Alright, so it's somebody in a panda costume because that's probably a lot easier to manage. It might also not be strictly legal to use an endangered species for promotional purposes, I really don't know. But for now, we're left to focus on the real question: who exactly is that in the costume? Marc Normandin has an idea:
