Will Middlebrooks finally gets the bump up from the bottom spot after setting a torrid pace since his return to the big leagues. Bradley batting seventh above Xander seems a little odd given each one's performance both in the majors and minors, but in the end just having Xander in the order against a lefty is relief enough that we probably should just leave well enough alone.
Also none of it matters because John Lackey is on the mound so the Red Sox won't score any runs, period. Why you gotta be like that, Red Sox?
