Game 135: Red Sox vs. Orioles

Loading Scores

The Rays have already lost today, and the Red Sox have won four straight, and already have the series wrapped up. It's true enough that no given game is worth any more or less in the final standings based on the context surrounding it at the time, but to be honest, yeah, this feels at least a little bit like a freebie.

Of course, winning games like this tends to be the sort of thing that keeps the tension away. We don't want to be playing this division close, we want to be running away with it. We don't want to let the Orioles stick around, we want to finish stepping on their throats and leave them 8.5 back.

So sweep, sweep away!
