Pawtucket W 16-3
Jackie Bradley Jr.: 2-6, 2B, HR, 2 K
Xander Bogaerts: 2-5, HR, 2 K
Brandon Workman: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
Well if this isn't the most perfect game in the history of Boston's farm system. Alright, yes, both of them could've reached base every time. But seeing homers from both Bradley and Bogaerts on the same day would even make up for a major league loss. Not that we have to worry about that after last night.
Yes, that's four for Bogaerts now. Four for Bradley too, for what it's worth. And while MiLB doesn't have a highlight video up as of this writing, but it was an opposite field shot on a middle-high fastball that just kept going and going and going.
Throw in a solid day from Brandon Workman, and you've got one heck of a game.
Salem W 7-0
Henry Ramos: 1-4, 2 K
Deven Marrero: 1-5
Keury De La Cruz: 1-5, 2 K
Brandon Jacobs: 3-5, SB
Blake Swihart: 2-4, 2B, BB
David Renfroe: 2-4, K
Henry Owens: 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
Owens has now allowed three runs in his last 27 innings. What he really needs to keep down, though, is his walk rate, and this game will help that just fine.
Greenville W 9-1
Jose Vinicio: 2-4, 2 2B
Not even when they win.
