Yesterday's game was the Red Sox' to lose, and today's feels the same way. Felix Doubront, John Lackey...who can say? But with Clay Buchholz and Ryan Dempster on the mound, these are games to be won.
The Red Sox did their job yesterday, obviously, and even managed to keep their bullpen out of things. Can they do so today? They've got the righty-heavy lineup which should do well against Erik Bedard. They've got a pitcher who's bingo on wins but has tons of strikeouts. They've got an opposing team with one of the worst records in the majors.
As before, hubris is something to be avoided, but this is really a game the Sox should be winning. Let's hope they go ahead and get this done.
