Game 9: Red Sox vs. Orioles

Do you really want hits off this guy, Baltimore? Do you really want to anger the Aceves with the Devil in his eyes? - Christian Petersen

For the first time this year, I'm not really all that excited to watch the Red Sox play.

Thanks, Alfredo Aceves.

Yeah, there was the Lackey game, and that came with its fair share of trepidation. But I still wanted to watch that game.

Tonight, though, having this come on the back of last night's gut punch of a loss, well, I kind of just want to put my hands over my eyes and peek through my fingers, the way a child might watch a monster movie.

There's a chance, though. There's always a chance. Even the 2012 Red Sox won some games with awful pitchers on the mound. All it takes is a little luck, or a lot of hits. And so it is that we settle in to watch Alfredo Aceves start, whether with wide open eyes or by peeking through our fingers.

Go Sox!
