While thinking about all the different line-up configurations the Sox could send out, I kept getting confused about all the different players whose splits will affect line-up construction ("Wait does Victorino hit righties better? Or lefties?") I decided I needed a cheat sheet, so here it is:
(Executive summary: Gomes and Victorino crush lefties, Sweeney, Salty, and Nava hit righties. Victorino is tolerable against righties.)
Career splits:
Victorino (S)
vs. L : .301/.373/.508 - - - - vs. R: .265/.328/.399
Sweeney (L)
vs. L: .225/.298/.281 - - - - vs. R: .293/.347/.402
Saltalamacchia (S)
vs. L: .203/.256/.335 - - - - vs. R: .254/.321/.453
Gomes (R)
vs. L: .284/.382/.512 - - - - vs. R: .222/.307/.424
Nava (S)
vs. L: .191/.302/.318 - - - - vs. R: .261/.369/.399
Carp (L)
vs. L: .300/.341/.462 (SSS, 138 PA) - - - - vs. R: .241/.323/.398
Hope this is useful!
