Bryce Brentz and pitching

I have three questions. As a precursor to these statements if there are any questions I have that were previously answered on this site I am sorry for wasting your time. If you are a glass half empty kind of person ridicule me for not doing my homework as I occasionally do this to others. If you are a happy person and would like to point me in the direction of finding my answer I will be very thankful. I deserve ridicule for not doing my homework. Now to get to the point what is the general opinion of Red Sox followers on Bryce Brentz. Is his power potential worth keeping around or is his inability to get walks be to big of a hurdle for him to be a regular starter? As someone who digs the long ball I am biased as I feel he can become Mike Napoli light. As someone who just swings as hard as possible but doesn't walk or get on base a ton. As I am realizing that this is a pipe dream I would like to know what others opinion on him is. My second question has 2 parts. First what becomes of Will Middlebrooks? Is he this years Will or was he last years, I have potential, Middlebrooks. Secondly what caused his decline? Why was he so good one year and so bad this year. Injuries, mental, luck? My last question is what is the organizational philosophy on power hitters. Is this going to be a team that is more interested in becoming a team that is geared towards singles and doubles or is that the chips fell that they were built more with pitching and doubles and singles? Or will the team look for developing power hitters in the future? Thank you so much for reading what I wrote and feel free to call me out on any opinions that I have.
