World Series Game 2: Red Sox vs. Cardinals

Loading Scores

The one game that is always guaranteed to be pivotal in a 7-game series is Game 2. There will always be a Game 2, and no matter who won the first game, Game 2 will completely change the complexion of the series.

A win, and the Red Sox are 2-0. A commanding position, to be sure, particularly given the way St. Louis' rotation is structured.

A loss, and the Cardinals have knotted it up and seized home field advantage for themselves. In a way, it would make them the favorites.

It's not a must-win, and thank God, since Michael Wacha is pretty scary. But it's a big game, even for the World Series. So here's hoping Boston can carry over some of last night's good mojo.

Go Sox!
