The other Fanpost was getting a bit bulky and since the playoff/consolation/league structure argument was maxed out level-wise I figured it was a good time to start up a new Post for further discussions. A proposal is on the table to change the way we structure the league and playoffs and I wanted to run it through everyone and get feedback so here goes:

Season would run 21 weeks of regular (same as last year) then 3 weeks of playoffs (no byes):

Playoffs: Top 8 Teams

Round 1: 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5....winner of 1 v 8 vs. winner of 4 v 5, winner of 2 v 7 vs winner of 3 v 6 - standard 8 team bracket w. Losers bracket to fully work out the seeding

Consolation: Bottom 8 Teams

Round 1: 9 v 16, 10 v 15, 11 v 14, 12 v 13 and the same as above - standard 8 team playoffs w/losers bracket to seed.

Draft Seeding for the next year would run

#1 Consolation Winner - #8 Consolation Loser, #9 Loser of Playoff Bracket - #16 League Champion

Pros: Easiest to Setup, No Bye-weeks and everyone has something to play for without getting shafted too bad

Cons: More teams make the playoffs which could arguably "water-down" the field

My other suggestion if we go for this setup would be to do complete away with Divisions and run a straight field but that's up for debate as well.
