The Over The Monster Podcast - Episode 76 - Predicting The Predictions

Elsa

The OTM Podcast is back with the first show of 2013. This week we're looking at Will Middlebrooks, David Ortiz, Joel Hanrahan, and Giancarlo Stanton.

It's 2013 and you probably thought you were rid of us. You probably weren't expecting the OTM Podcast. Well... NOBODY EXPECTS THE OTM PODCAST!

Apologies for the all caps, but it's important to start the year off right, which of course requires a Monty Python reference. That complete we can move on to the business at hand. In this, their first show of the new year, Marc and Matt, or if you're Matt's mom, "Matt and Marc," look to some recently published predictions to generate content. These are predictions by Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe who published some on Tuesday as is the custom. Rather than put their own heads on the line as well, Matt and Marc decide to look at Mr. Abraham's predictions and decide whether or not they agree.

They also look at a piece by Matt published on Wednesday on Over The Monster ("What The Boston Red Sox Might Give Up For Giancarlo Stanton") which tried to determine how much it would cost should the Red Sox trade for Miami Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton. Sure you didn't know that because the title is so vague. Overall, it's a fun, informative first of-the-year episode of the Over The Monster Podcast!
