Wednesday Red Sox Lineups: More Of The Same

If it ain't as broken as it otherwise could be... (Photo by Otto Greule Jr/Getty Images)

The Red Sox' lineup is broken, but on Tuesday it was the least broken it's been in a while. So I guess it makes some sense just to leave it largely untouched.

The only difference between a straight copy-paste of the two batting orders is that Dustin Pedroia will now be batting second instead of third, and vice-versa for Jacoby Ellsbury. Why not?

Lineup

BOSTON RED SOX SEATTLE MARINERS
Scott Podsednik, LF Dustin Ackley, 2B
Dustin Pedroia, 2B Trayvon Robinson, LF
Jacoby Ellsbury, CF Kyle Seager, 3B
Cody Ross, RF John Jaso, C
James Loney, 1B Jesus Montero, DH
Jarrod Saltalamacchia, C Eric Thames, RF
Ryan Lavarnway, DH Mike Carp, 1B
Pedro Ciriaco, 3B Casper Wells, CF
Jose Iglesias, SS Brendan Ryan, SS

Now that the streak is reset to zero, this game feels much less important. Win one, lose one, it's all the same right about now. Just so long as there's no more lose sevens mixed in.
