Game 137

Can the Red Sox avoid the ignominious honor of three straight West Coast sweeps? If they're going to, tonight would presumably be the night, given that Aaron Cook is set to start tomorrow.

It's not about dignity anymore, that's gone out the window. Now it's more about a reprieve. Something to reset the losing streak and take the pressure off. That mounting, exponential sort of misery that comes with this sort of play. When "The Trade" went down, we had hopes for an easier death to the season, but that's impossible to realize when you've got young players looking like they're Little Leaguers and putting up 20-2 scores to match it.

Just a reprieve. That's all we can ask. Lester vs. Beavan. It's not gonna kill the whole draft position race, winning 1-in-9, so just get it done.
