Thursday Red Sox Lineups: Little To Work With

Ah, Red Sox lineups post-trade. Even at their best they're pretty ugly.



Loney moves up above Ross into the cleanup spot given the combination of a right-handed Zack Greinke on the mound and an away game--Ross' worst of scenarios to be certain.

So what do we hope for? More hitting from Ryan Lavarnway (an entirely decent 6-for-19), and a good outing for Jon Lester. That's probably at the top of the list, since asking for Pedro to take a walk and Ellsbury to hit a homer would probably be too much to ask for.
