BOSTON, MA - JUNE 10: David Ortiz #34 of the Boston Red Sox celebrates his home run with Jarrod Saltalamacchia #39 as Jesus Flores #26 of the Washington Nationals looks away during interleague play at Fenway Park June 10, 2012 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Photo by Jim Rogash/Getty Images)
One day after his removal led to predictably poor results, David Ortiz is back in the lineup against Ricky Nolasco and the Marlins, batting fourth and playing first base in Miami.
Adrian Gonzalez and Will Middlebrooks will be the two other infielders joining him in the order tonight, although Gonzalez will be spending the bottom halves of innings in right field, which is fast becoming his typical spot this year.
Ryan Sweeney will also be back in the lineup against the right-handed Nolasco, playing center field as Scott Podsednik takes over in left. It's another day without the services of Daniel Nava, whose absence is starting to get worrisome, even with word that he could be back in a matter of days.
As for the Marlins, they'll get as many right-handed threats into the lineup as possible, which means no Logan Morrison or Chris Coghlan.
