Games -33, -32: Spring Training Begins With Traditional Doubleheader

Gentlemen, I present to you...baseball! Starring Red Sox pitchers, and Red Sox batters.

It's the first two (real) games of spring training, and as per usual that means a doubleheader against the college kids from Northeastern and Boston College.

While we'll have to wait a few more hours for an actual broadcast, the Sox will get started with Northeastern at 2:35 p.m. Jon Lester will get the start against the Huskies, with plenty of defensive backing from the lineup:

"Darnell McDonald - DH"

Ah, spring.

Unfortunately, the bunch playing the game we'll actually get to see isn't quite so exciting. Felix Doubront will get the nod to start the game, with a lineup of mostly minor leaguers behind him.

Lineup

BOSTON RED SOX
Mike Aviles - SS
Che-Hsuan Lin - CF
Kevin Youkilis - 3B
David Ortiz - 1B
Nick Punto - 2B
Ryan Lavarnway - C
Josh Kroeger - RF
Alex Hassan - DH
Jason Repko - LF

Hooray for non-roster invitees!

The nightcap against the Eagles can be viewed on NESN or heard on WEEI starting at 7:05 p.m.

And, for the first time this year: Go Sox!
