Game -9: Single Digits!

Stay connected for news and updates

We're headed into the home stretch here, people, which means this is one of Daniel Bard's last chances to win some support both from the fans and from Bobby Valentine.

Interestingly, Bard will be facing the Blue Jays for the second straight time today, perhaps offering the chance to see some development. Last time out, Bard was touched for three runs early in his outing before pulling things together late, finishing on a good run and still hitting the mid-90s with plenty of pitches on his arm.

Still, that didn't stop the rumors that Bobby V wasn't in love with the outing, or the idea of Bard as a starter, so a good outing here (preferably with plenty of changeup action) would be quite the boon.
