Like moving Daniel Bard to the starting rotation, this podcast represents an experiment; a venturing out on a limb away from the nurturing trunk that is Marc Normandin. That's right, Matt Kory is flying solo on this one, folks, and your ears will bleed for it. But the guests are so good that you should be able to get over the whole bleeding ears thing, for a little while at least.
This 45th episode of the Over The Monster Podcast is, in fact, the first half of OTM's Crazy Super Massive Extreme Crazy AL East Preview Podcast. In this as well as the subsequent yet-to-be-completed 46th episode, I endeavor to bring the wonder, the joy, and the sheer wet-your-pants fear of American League East baseball through your radio-type speaker-things and into your little listener head.
In this episode, I accomplish this with two fine gentlemen bloggers. First, Daniel Moroz from the excellent Camden Crazies blog tells us about the 2012 Baltimore Orioles. We discuss his expectations for the franchise this season and where he hopes they'll end up in the near future (Hint: not Winnipeg). Then in the second half of the first part (that makes sense, right?) we're joined by Dustin Parkes from The Score and The Getting Blanked blog and podcast to talk about the Toronto Blue Jays. We start with the 2011 Jays, cover the off season, and then talk about the Jays prospects for this up-coming season. It's all too much wonderfulness, but this is America (and/or Canada) so we trust you to dole out the awesomeitude in small doses in the safety of your own home. One way or the other though, everything you need to know about the Blue Jays and Orioles for 2012 is all here on this, the 45th OTM Podcast!
