Thought I would start a discussion on what the Sox should do about the upcoming Rule 5 Draft in December. Should we look to pick up a player at a certain position? Who should that player be? Who among the 40+ current Sox players eligible for the draft should be protected? Our current 40MR is at 38 and I expect everyone believes that Allen Webster will be added so there is only 1 open spot right now. Will it go to Alex Wilson? Christian Vazquez? Some of the other possibilities are: Almanzar, Fields, Hassan, Hazelbaker, Huntzinger, Pressly. The Houston Astros have only 31 positions on the 40MR filled so it looks like a real possibility that we could lose some decent guys in about a month!
