Sox Prospect Ranking Clearinghouse

This is a follow up to the Top-10 Clearinghouse and includes the full rankings of various sites: Missing are Hardball Times and Baseball Prospectus which tend to come out later. The first table has the raw list data. I then took the players and averaged their rankings to come up with a cummulative ranking for the Top 20. If a player did not appear on a list say for BA's Top 10 then they were ranked 11th and so forth. Tables after the jump

Among those giving their best guestimates

It is heartening that the top MiLB level, this year, is projected to contribute at Fenway: all eight of Doubront, iglesias, Kalish, Lavarnway, Middlebrooks, Tazawa, Tejeda and Wilson could be important in 2012 and beyond, representing the 3rd wave of prospects from this ownership group, and certainly some of them will be stars. Last year they werent ready. This year they are.

The fourth wave though, as it looks now

Is going to be pretty awesome if they all stick around.

They won't though

we’ll trade a bunch of them for a player we don’t need, then sign him for too much money.

You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.

What BZ said

Don’t be silly, Ben doesn’t do anything either helpful nor hurtful. In fact, he’s cloning Scoot as we speak.

I think not doing anything period counts as something hurtful.
