What are Boston's chances of signing Ellsbury to a long-term extension?

Earlier this morning, I was on The Pulse Network to talk Red Sox with host Butch Stearns. Conveniently enough, all of these videos have been uploaded to YouTube, so you can listen to our discussion about who the Red Sox should acquire at the trade deadline, about two of the significantly-sized contracts that Boston currently has in Carl Crawford and John Lackey, whether or not the team should re-sign closer Jonathan Papelbon, and how the contract situation with Jacoby Ellsbury, who has two years of arbitration left, is going to end up playing out.

These are things we have been discussing at Over the Monster this week, but this is in audio form, and, of course, Butch Stearns is also there to give his side of the story on these bits of news as well.

Interesting concept

and good information. Thanks. Paps may be more affordable than we thought for those reasons, making him a viable candidate for a few more years. Marisa, you are one funny girl, but don’t stop asking. Eventually someone will want you to share your wisdom, and then it begins, because no doubt you will do a great job.
