Brentz hitting streak now at 21 games. He and Ranaudo are just ridiculous.
Move ’em up, for crying out loud!
Give me a quick ranking of OF'ers based on ceiling
Lin, Hassan, Reddick, Kalish, Hazelbacker, Brentz
Will Vitek end up in the OF as well?
Toughie
I’d go (strictly based on ceiling)
Kalish: Most well-rounded
Reddick: If patience comes then could vault Kalish due to more power
Brentz: Fielding is suspect
Hazelbaker: Lanky frame = more power, already fast w/ + defense
Hassan/Lin: Don’t know much here honestly
On cieling
Hazelbaker
Reddick
Kalish
Brentz
Lin
Hassan

.....
i truly can’t remember when we’ve had so many hitting prospects doing so well at the same time
Those with 0.900+ OPS
Player (Age, Level) – OPS (League Rank)
Jacobs (21, A) – 1.073 (5th)
Brentz (22, A) – 1.049 (7th)
Head (20, A) – 0.997 (9th)
Vazquez (21, A) – 0.910 (15th) – Catcher
Butler (25, A+) – 1.032 (1st) – Catcher
Rodriguez (25, A+) – 1.017 (2nd)
Hazelbaker (24, A+) – 0.917 (7th)
Hassan (23, AA) – 0.972 (2nd)
Middlebrooks (23, AA) – 0.952 (4th)
Navarro (24, AAA) – 1.037 (3rd)
Reddick (24, AAA) – 0.916 (15th)
Left Drew Sutton off but the 28 year old journeyman has a 0.992 at Pawtucket
Notice that this list does not include Vitek (0.885) or Coyle (0.849)
And Coyle has huge BABIP stuff, so really...
