Daniel Nava: 0-4, K
Josh Reddick: 1-3, 2B, BB
Yamaico Navarro: 1-4, 2B
Lars Anderson: 0-4, K
Michael McKenry: 1-3, K
Nate Spears: 0-3, K, E
Jose Iglesias: 0-2, CS
Scott Atchison: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Michael Bowden: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 Er, 0 BB, 2 K
Not the best of games for the slow-starting Lavarnway after the jump.
Portland W 7-0
Alex Hassan: 3-5, 2B
Tim Federowicz: 1-5
Ryan Lavarnway: 1-4, K
Will Middlebrooks: 2-4, 2B, E
Oscar Tejeda: 1-4, 2B
Alex Wilson: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K
-A much better night from Alex Wilson--who was relying much more on his fastball tonight--then we've seen in a bit.
Salem W 4-0
Pete Hissey: 2-4, 2 K, SB
Jeremy Hazelbaker: 0-2, BB, 2 K, 2 SB
Kolbrin Vitek: 0-4, 2 K
-Unlike a number of other prospects, it's been a terrible start to the year for Vitek. I'm more interested if he'll be moving to the outfield though, personally.
Reynaldo Rodriguez: 1-3, 3B, BB, K
Michael Almanzar: 0-3, K
Derrik Gibson: 1-3, HR, K, E
-A very rare Gibson homer. Always nice to see.
Chris Balcom-Miller: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
Greenville W 15-0
Where has the Red Sox' offense gone? Right here. Through just six games, the Drive already have an incredible 58 runs.
Felix Sanchez: 1-5, CS
Lucas LeBlanc: 2-5, 2B, 3B
Bryce Brentz: 2-4, HR, BB, K
Miles Head: 1-3, 2 BB, K
Brandon Jacobs: 1-3, 2 BB, 2 K
Sean Coyle: 0-3, 2 BB, 2 K
David Renfroe: 2-5, 2B, 2 K
Manny Rivera: 5 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 K
-Manny already had the peripherals to make it to Salem last year. Don't be surprised if he gets a very quick bump. At least, very quick for the patient Red Sox.

Wow Jacobs is on fire
Good think the NFL is on lockout.
Seriously though, this guys power numbers are off the charts right now.
Also, WTF Tony Thomas…. 2 grand slams to start the season!?

Yeah, I kind of forgot about him after the trade.
Might be worth keeping an eye on, it seems.

I guess so...
Could just be a fluke considering he doesn’t have a huge power track record.

29 doubles, 11 triples, 11 HRs last year
24/1/11 the year before.
Power potential is definitely there. His patience however has not been very good at the upper levels.

He's a weird case
Anyone who knows him is very high on him, haven’t met anyone who knows his name to say he stinks. But then, not many people know his name. He’s definitely set the right tone.

Yeah, I see what you're saying.
People tend to overrate velocity which is why he’s absurdly underrated.
He’s got average velo but excellent movement from the reports. And he’s got a plus slider. And he doesn’t walk anyone. He also struck out a ton of guys last year and induced a slew of groundballs.
He reminds me of Cahill (except substitute a plus slider for Cahill’s filthy curve).
