I know it's just spring training. And that perhaps the least important part of any game is the final score. But I really wouldn't mind seeing the Sox take a few, y'know?
That feeling goes double for today. Because if the Sox somehow manage to lose at home to a split-squad Orioles team...Well, that's just not right.
Of course, it being a home game, we see plenty of regulars, and really are only a Lowrie or Gonzalez short of a possible midsummer night's lineup.
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Carl Crawford, LF
4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
5. David Ortiz, DH
6. J.D. Drew, RF
7. Marco Scutaro, SS
8. Jason Varitek, C
9. Drew Sutton, 1B
The Sox will send out John Lackey to hopefully throw something other than pure fastballs.
While the Orioles will respond with Chris Tillman, who is welcome to throw only fastballs if he is so inclined.
24 days left until April.
Go Sox!
