The final score between Juan Carlos Linares and Brandon Workman is 7-8 in favor of Workman. And that only by virtue of a tie breaker (my vote, since I don't otherwise).
So why do I like Workman? One word: cutter.
Oh, sure, he throws in the mid-90s and has a good build for a starter. But man, plus cutters? That's what aces and/or closers are made out of.
Plus, he's got one of the best pitching names in the game today. And that has to count for something.
