Pedro Martinez Interview On MLB Network Tonight
Just a heads up to any potentially interested readers that the MLB Network will be airing an interview with Pedro Martinez tonight at 6 p.m. EST. In the clip, taken from a longer interview which will air on the 30th, Martinez will talk about the possibility of pitching in 2011, and discuss why he didn't sign with a team (say, us) in 2010.
Tune in if you are so inclined.

When Pedro talks
I listen.
Except I don’t have MLB…so I cant’.
Galactus does as he pleases. Because Galactus is drunk.

I'd kinda like to see Pedro land somewhere...
even here, maybe in the bullpen or to replace Dice-K
Wittkowski
EVEN here? EVEN?
I’d spend days dancing with joy if he’d sign on to join our pen at some point in the year. Almost certainly won’t happen, but I can dream.
I said EVEN here
because it’s very unlikely he’d get an offer from us, but like you said, I can dream.
Wittkowski
I still want Pedro to come back as a closer...
I really do think he could be a second coming of Eckersley, though with a Hall of Fame career as a starting pitcher first… Come on, wouldn’t he be intimidating for an inning at the end of the game, with all the crafty pitches he can still deal?
in 2009 his fastball was averaging 88.5
which, it’s worth mentioning, was his highest since 2004 (where it was 89.4)- probably because he only pitched a short part of the year.
Of course, he hasn’t pitched since then, so who knows?
makes me curious if it would be higher
if he was only going 1 inning at a time.
