Oh my, what do we have here? Could it be...a game thread?

It is! It is a game thread!

The Red Sox are back today, playing their traditional double header against college teams to kick off the spring training schedule. The lineups have been drawn up, the starters chosen, and all that's left for them to do is actually get down to the business of throwing balls and swinging bats.

The first game, starting at 1 PM EST, will be broadcast by WRKO, while the second (scheduled for 6 PM) will be available on WEEI. For those who are out-of-market, such as myself, Gameday Audio on MLB.com should have us covered.

It can be a little hard to get geared up for radio games with neither Carl Crawford nor Adrian Gonzalez set to so much as make an appearance, but this is the 2011 Red Sox. For the first time, taking the field, and playing against someone who'd much rather shut them down.

It's baseball. And it's back.
