Could somebody please tell me why Aaron Harang's name is not being tossed around by the Red Sox? He had a great season for the Padres last season, going 14-7 with a 3.64 ERA to go with a 4.17 FIP and 4.21 xFIP. His peripherals show that he may have gotten a bit lucky, but I would still sign him. He may not be able to get by so easily in Fenway, as he is a fly ball pitcher (he had a 0.82 GO/AO ratio in 2011), but I'm sure he would do ok. He is an innings eater, tossing 200+ innings from 2005-2007 before injuries started affecting him. However, he was largely healthy in 2011 after a bad year in 2010. I would love Harang as a #4 starter in our rotation if he could be had at something like a 2 year/$25 million deal with an option for 2014. Thanks for reading!
