I am thinking about organizing a community prospects list to rank the Red Sox minor league, rookie eligible prospects based on the community's voting. I am not sure if anyone already does this or something similar, and if so, I will not step on their toes. I have participated in these in the past and think it is a great way to look at the farm system and discuss/analyze the system's various prospects.

Logistically, I would post the names of a handful of players and to vote for a given player, just reply to that post with a "+1". This works better than using the recs or polls because it ensures there is no double voting, making it the fairest way to do it, and is therefore most representative of the community's opinion. Some of you who frequent minorleagueball.com will be familiar with this system, as the league-wide voting is currently going on there.

I think it would be cool and fun to do a community list for just the Red Sox organization. If enough people reply with support of the idea, I'll get it started in a few days. We can go 20 or 30 deep, whichever people prefer, and use the eligibility BA uses:  a prospect must not exceed 130 AB or 50 IP at the major league level to be eligible.
