Red Sox in Pittsburgh June 24
I just made flight and hotel reservations for Pittsburgh in June; anybody else making the trip? Flights pretty reasonable, hotels on the expensive side (for Pittsburgh!), tickets DIRT cheap. Had a Pirates season ticket holder talking about EXPENSIVE $40 SEATS!

PNC is actually a nice park too. Too bad the Pirates suck

PNC Park
Yes, I have heard nothing but great things about PNC, and the Pirates situation is obvious. I have not been to a Sox away game in many years and I’m bringing my 13 year old son. I have promised myself I’m not going to be one the Yahoo Sox fans screaming “lets go Red Sox” all game. I know how I would feel if the shoe was on the other foot.
PNC is amazing
Saw a meaningless, last-day-of-the-season game there in… 05 I think. Park is beautiful, the view is almost impossibly good, and the food is great. You must eat at Primanti Bros. Sandwiches.
I would give it 9 thumbs up.

Primanti Bros…a can’t miss for any trip to Pittsburgh

+1
I probably have PNC third behind Fenway & Wrigley…
Petco in San Diego is another cool park to watch a game in, and Camden Yards will sort of be the “original” HOK style to me. Some of those midwestern ones though (Detroit & Cincinnati) feel like they sort of did a cookie cutter HOK design.
Highly recommend seeing a game in PNC. The sunset coloring the city of Pittsburgh (that early evening glow) makes for a spectacular view, and the food choices there are damn good (though, maybe not good for you.)
Depending on my employment situation I'll probably be going to it as well
Been to PNC a few times now, the part is just incredible, great views from everywhere, even the concourse. For day games though the hot sun does bare down on the entire left field side, however, if it’s like most Pirates games you can move to the right field side without anyone saying anything.
Eat at Primantis and do not take anything off the sandwich, it comes that way and it’s awesome!
