I'm not a Red Sox fan, so I haven't been paying as much attention...
but when did Papelbon stop throwing the splitter? His first few years, he had a ton of success (and got some ridiculous swings), but now he doesn’t get nearly as much swinging misses and every pitch seems to be a high fastball.
He's back to throwing it this year.
