Man I hope we can sign this guy.
I know that this is a college league but go back and check their league awards, even though he probably had 3 more starts left his performance is one of the most dominating pitching performances in the last decade in that league.
He definitely proved a lot… and his asking price probably went up as well.
"We are not normal, We are Legends. People will tell their kids about us." - Deon Butler before Ohio State Game 2008.
Even more encouraging is that he's proven that he's healthy.
91-94, touching 95 on his fastball. If he’s pitching like he was his sophomore year (and it sounds like he has) his draft pick was an amazing steal.
I'm an little worried about his WHIP though.
The ERA is acceptable, but a WHIP above .60 is slacking…
Correction:
Ranaudo finishedonwith the Cape
As in: “You’re fired. [into the intercom] Call security and have them escort the Cape Cod League out of the building.”
This makes the eventual $2MM+ price tag much more palatable
Wait 'til next/this year?
